James Blue becomes fourth principal of Greenleaf Investment Management & Counsel


2006

William Anderson joins Greenleaf as portfolio manager

William R. Anderson has joined Shaker Heights-based investment management firm Greenleaf Investment Management and Counsel as a portfolio manager for managed asset allocation.

Previously, Anderson was a portfolio manager and chief compliance officer at Cleveland-based Proper Analysis, chief administrative officer for Weber, Fulton & Felman (now Mellon Financial) and investment area manager for Chess Financial. Prior to that, he worked at Progressive Insurance as special risk directors and officers liability manager.

He holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Kent State University. Volunteer involvement includes the Cleveland Museum of Art, Eastside Catholic Shelter for Abused Women and Children, Cleveland Botanical Garden and Epworth Euclid Church. He and his family reside in Hudson.


2004

Ed Curran joins Greenleaf as chief operations officer

Ed Curran brings more than four decades of senior management experience to the position of chief operating officer at Shaker Heights-based investment management firm Greenleaf Capital Management.

Previously, Curran was president and CEO of information technology services provider Applied Technology Ventures and vice president of operations for Gould instruments Systems, Inc., before that. He also worked for Tektronix, Inc., for more than two decades in operations and human resources management. Founded in 1976, Greenleaf Capital Management manages assets for individuals, family trusts, retirement plans and endowments.

2003

Leroy Hoffman brings three decades of investment experience to Greenleaf

Leroy Hoffman has joined Shaker Heights-based investment management firm Greenleaf Capital Management as a senior vice president. Previously, the Bath Township resident managed large investment portfolios for high net-worth individuals and charitable institutions for National City Corporation. Prior to National City, he was director of corporate development for The Brenlin Corporation and head of the Financial Division at Westfield Insurance Group. Founded in 1976, Greenleaf Capital Management manages assets for individuals, family trusts, retirement plans and endowments. Hoffman has lived in Bath since 1970.

2001

Nancy Friedman joins Greenleaf research and trading department

Nancy Friedman joins the Shaker Heights investment management firm as a senior research analyst.  Previously, she was vice president of equity research for $5.5 billion asset management and investment banking firm Lipper & Company and a research analyst at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch & Company. She holds an MBA in finance from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College. Founded in 1976, Greenleaf Capital Management manages assets for individuals, family trusts, retirement plans and endowments.
